Poor Design
The unit functions well, however the form factor and cable were not thought out. The cable provided is a straight connector into your vehicles port which is always in the way and can not be hidden easily. The end that goes into the SCT is also large and comes out the top, I am not sure why anyone thought this was a good design? Basically this unit is for diagnostics and occasional use-not for keeping in the vehicle all the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

SCT X4 7015 for ALL Fords 96 and Up
If you are getting a custom tune, you can buy any SCT X4 that has preloaded tunes for gas or diesel, and use the programmer to download Your Custom tunes onto any Ford OBDII vehicle. Works great, I own two X4's and have reflashed my vehicles over 200 times with zero issues. Just follow the directions and you can't go wrong. Also you can read hundreds of different parameters when you connect the X4 through a laptop to your vehicle. And see everything as live data. Very powerful and useful device.

A thing of the past!
I have used these on my customers trucks for years. they where the go to item.Now that the EPA has sued SCT and they had to delete the EGR Delete files and re write all the other files as well for way less power. Don't recommend it
SCT's technical support line is always busy. Plan on being on hold for at least an hour. I purchased this to correct the tire size and speedometer on my 2019 Ford f350. As it turns out those features do not work correctly on this year of truck and causes a check engine light to come on. RV Motorhome
This SCT X4 unit itself works well and seems of good quality. Happy I purchased this this unit but felt that the RV tune should have been part of the package and not an extra (charge +$100). My RV is a gas Ford V10 6.8L engine so why not included? Uploaded and installed the new RV tune but haven't driven the RV yet to determine the value of all this. Wow what a difference the SCT TUNER made on my 06 F150 Lariat 5.4 it was sleeping along time. It's awake and running Angry. Haha. Great Tuner. Really woke up the engine. I put headers and high flow cats along with throttle body spacer and CAI and it ran. But the SCT TUNER Brought everything together. Would diffidently recommend.
