Removes heat bluing from your motorcycle exhaust pipes
Great product for removing heat bluing from stainless exhaust pipes. Also works well on chromed pipes but you need to be careful that you don't leave it on chrome for too long and clean it off thoroughly with warm soapy water and rinse. It's not a basic put it on and clean it off cleaner. You'll need apply some effort and do some rubbing with a cotton or similar material cloth with the cleaner on it. Suggest you put on some latex or similar gloves as skin contact with this cleaner is not recommended. I tried metal polishes before trying this stuff. Metal polishes were completely useless at removing the bluing, this stuff actually gets it off.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as magic as hoped
Had trouble with browning stainless steel downpipes on my Honda CB1300 going brown quickly. Always cleaned with normal autosol metal cleaner...takes hours. Saw this so was excited would cut down cleaning time. Being quarantined I had already cleaned bikes but tried on stubborn bits which weren't finished. Did clean in end but took a lot of rubbing. Best product for the job.
Took a few applications to cause an effect. Best applied with a (re-used, non-scratchy) pot cleaner. Followed-up with Autosol metal polish it made a great job. Use protective gloves like Marigolds, as it contains acid.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

With only a tiny amount it took the blueing off my exhaust in seconds. From the first initial application I could see the discoloration disappearing and it left an excellent clean shiny finish to the exhaust. I still have nearly a whole bottle left. Does what says on the tin.
After many years of doing my best with my bmw and it’s brown pipes I discovered this stuff. This is my third bottle. It may not be cheap but the satisfaction gained from seeing the discolouration wipe away is just great! This stuff really works!
I've been used to buying miracle cleaning products with big claims only to be disappointed with the reality. However, this stuff works before your very eyes and really does save a huge amount of polishing with Autosol or similar. I used it on polished stainless steel headers from my V Twin engine which had become very discoloured and pitted and they now look 100 times better. Stainless Steel Motorcycle Downpipes

Like every Autosol product I've tried it just works.
To paraphrase the famous advert, it does exactly what it says on the box. I wanted to remove heat bluing from titanium tubing on a car component, and it worked perfectly. The product is basically a very fine polishing compound with a corrosive component, so it's not a simple apply and buff off product, you need to polish the surface for a reasonable amount of time before the bluing is removed.
