    The only chisels you need for woodworking.

    These chisels are very well made,as one would expect from Irwin. If you are an enthusiast woodworker, you really do not need anything more than these. Once given a sharpening , which dose not take very long as they are well ground to start with you will not look back, even working with hardwood.

    Quality budget chisels.

    There are much better chisels out there, but I cannot afford to pay 4 times the price! Plastic handles! I would like to replace them with home turned wooden ones. I may have to sacrifice the 19 mm handle to see what is involved. Nice weight, nice crisp machining, no burrs; a light pass with fine grade emery over the sharper edges will make the blades softer to the hand. They also need a small flattening of the handle at back lip of the handle so that your hand can register where the blade runs.

    Who needs top bands when Irwin do what you want

    Best balanced chisels ever, I prefer the wooden handles I believe old things were made to last back in the olden wooden handles keep up the good work.

    Good chisel set!

    Good chisel set for a budget. Just needs sharpening due to the manufacturer didn’t sharpened it very well. It’s a normal issue with chisels. I would rate it 9/10!
