In this second installment of the Japanese horror franchise--based on the popular manga by Junji Ito--a young girl is hospitalized to find that something is moving in her stomach. It's discovered to be the disembodied head of dead high school student Tomie, who is regenerating herself in order to return to Earth and kill again. Meanwhile, another young girl finds the notebook of her scientist father, who has gone insane. It all looks normal, until the last page--which is written in blood and mentions the name "Tomie" several times.
