JUST THE INSPECTOR, BUT STILL FUNNY
The audio and picture on this new dvd are just fine. And, the inspector's stories and problems are plenty funny! But, please know that the Pink Panther does not appear in these short films of The Inspector, he is the star in all of the flics. We are enjoying the short clips.

Cartoon memory lane: say Oui, not Sí.
I grew up watching the Pink Panther cartoon (from the 60s, not the crappy stuff from the 70s and 80s), as so I'm very familiar with Inspector Clouseau, Dodo and the Chief, as well as with those surreal villains. Now, with my 52-year-old eyes, the drawings seem basic and flat, and the humor silly. However, the plots are always engagingly innocent, harking back to an era where funny cartoons didn't mean the latest 3D animation technologies (cough, Nickelodeon, cough).
