With the G10 Wedge Golf Club, PING designed a forgiving club head for use by first-timers and seasoned pros alike. A wide sole allows for a higher launch angle and a forgiving ground impact. You can maintain better contact, higher and longer shots, and less slicing or hooking. This lets you save on strokes, all while still enjoying a fun round on the course. Whether you golf with the pitching, lob, gap, or sand wedge, G10 irons are meant to improve your game.PING G10 Wedge irons have stainless steel head material as well as steel shaft material. A steel shaft is useful for those with fast swings as it promotes control. Dexterity can be right or left-handed depending on which club you golf with. These golf clubs are generally geared toward men. Loft ranges from about 47-58 degrees, and they usually have standard regular grips. Within each shaft, PING integrated the Ascending Weight Technology (AWT). This lets you golf with an increase in club speed, which, in turn, adds further control and consistency.The G10 pitching wedge has a 47-degree loft with a black dot standard lie angle and stiff flex. This wedge type is used to get under the ball on contact to send it higher. As PING wedges are already designed with a wide sole, you get an even higher launch. G10s are developed to be used by beginners and professionals, but the pitching wedge is ideal for those starting out. Gap wedge irons also have a standard lie angle, and at 50 or 52 degrees, they have moderate bounce. Additionally, the 52-degree has a graphite shaft, which can make for an easier swing feel.With the sand wedge, it comes either right or left-handed in dexterity. At a 54-degree loft, it has a blue dot lie angle at 0.75 to 1-degree upright. It can vary in shafts as well, and one is maroon dotted at a 4.5- to 5-degree upright lie angle. This specialized club is designed to get you out of the sand or tall grass with ease. A sand wedge allows golf balls to pop into the air quickly on contact. The G10’s forgiving technological design keeps the ball from bouncing away from the hole once it lands.To score such high trajectories, you can opt for the lob wedge as well as the sand wedge. PING lobs are around 58 degrees and have a regular flex and white dot lie angle at 3 degrees upright. This gives it a 12-degree bounce. This iron is useful in the condition of a tricky shot such as weaving around obstacles. It soars higher than a sand wedge and yields limited rolling once landing for soft placement on the green.A G10 iron has a large head and face. They offer extreme toe weighting and boost moment-of-inertia. This design grants you more club stability. Feel free to swing and hit slightly off-center. You can still achieve some decent distance across the fairway after a reasonably straight launch. This provides additional freedom whether playing a fun round of golf or on a tour, especially for high handicap players. A great set of clubs
This is a very good set of irons that are light and hit the ball very well. It came 4-PW so I am still looking for a 3 iron no that I bought this sand wedge. The shafts are very responsive and great to swing. I got these irons for my son, but when he gets older and needs a stiffer shaft, I will use them when I can no longer swing fast enough for stiff shafts. This is a great set for young or old. Just what I needed
I have a full set of Ping G10 irons, black dot, right hand steel shaft clubs, but I did not have the Gap (U) wedge. I found it on eBay and bought it out-right. Just what I needed. I had tried all types of gap wedges because I couldn't find the G10 black dot in steel shaft, Now my iron set is perfect and the wedge waf in great shape.
