  • Solid machine

This is a great serger. Built to last and runs smooth as butter. The computerized screen guides you through what you need to know to set up stitches quickly. I recommend watching the manufacturer's video (available on YouTube) and referencing it if you get stuck during the threading process. That said, I didn't think it was as hard to thread as some reviews cautioned. I have not tried to convert it to coverstitch yet, but it seams clear enough. The only possible "negative" I can think of is that sometimes my hand hits the hot lightbulb (which is uncovered) during threading, but that's just something I'll try to keep away from. I would definitely buy it over again and recommend any sewing friend to purchase this machine as well.

  • Good machine

This had been a really good machine with lots of functionality. No it's not easy to thread, but that doesn't take away from the quality of the machine. This machine was made in the 90's and still has most of the same functions ad the new ones.

  • Workhorse!

This serger is a workhorse! Love the quality construction, they're built to last when properly used and maintained. Threading is easy, just follow instructions. I own two of these, one for overlooking and one for coverstitching.

  • Awesome machine, fantastic stitches, very professional stitches

This is not for a first time serger as a Corvette is not for a first time driver. It takes a minute to figure out all the wonderful stitches but is definitely worth it. Do keep your old serger for the simple 3 or 4 Thread serging so you do not have to rethread several times on the same item

  • Great product

This is a wonderful item to have handy when threading your surgery. I taught these surgers for years but had not used one for several years so thought it best to have something handy and boy has it come in to good use here!

  • Viking Huskylock 936 Serger

Exactly as described - Thank you. NOTE: Sergers are never 'easy' to use and this particular machine is very complex ... I did not expect it to be easy to operate without placing heavy reliance on the instruction manual at least in the beginning.

  • Work horse

This machine is heavy duty and runs like a charm but is not for a beginner. If the seller doesn't state that the machine has been serviced by a qualified technichine then you need to consider their description and price because it will need to be serviced by a certified Viking dealer even if the seller states that it wasn't used very much.

  • Nice surprise

I have this exact machine that is close to 20 years old. I have really enjoyed it but it is worn out as I teach young girls to sew and they have all used it and enjoyed it. To find an unused still boxed machine tto replace mine was a pleasant surprise. To be able to replace a $5000 machine for under $1000 was great!

  • Awesome Serger

This serger takes the guesswork out of how to thread and also adjust the tensions. It tells you right on the screen how to do it, and which needle positions to use. The stitching is very even and I love it!
