Learning made easy
This little machine is light weight, super easy to use/learn, fun and entertaining. The only problem is finding the thread. But, it is out there. So don't hesitate to purchase this little item if you are looking for fun. Don't waste your $, Brother Discontinued it and the Consumables.
For starters Brother wasn't impressed enough to keep making them, and the replacement consumables. I bought one because it seemed simple, which it is, however, when I went to make something using more than one color, the second or additional colors were not positioned accurately. Some of the Disney designs especially were off, and the color orders were really wrong. I will probably use it for monograms and simple designs, but don't trust it for Disney multicolor accuracy. If you don't attach the iron on piece, the fabric curls up. Too many are out there asking for more $ than it is worth. Personally, I think getting a beginner embroidery only machine would have been money better spent. There is no other gadget on the market now even close to it.

Age matters.
The little machine sits there and sews great. However, I can't find anyone selling the thread new except on Amazon and Ebay. Most of the time they are around $10.00 per color. I can't find the packs of cloth - backing or anything for sale brand new. I love the machine and its abilities but I would love to find new stuff that is affordable. I can't find pattern cards for it either. I have no problems with the machine at all but the stuff that goes with it is history. My grandson is wanting to be a policeman and I made him a "badge" with his name on it and he had a fit over it. I am going to be making Christmas ornaments also. Applique Station
I got a very good deal on this and have made a few appliques. Now there is no way to get the fabric squares for the applique or the threads as they are no longer being made. It was such a good idea but I guess the embroidery machines have come down in price and this just doesn't make a lot of sense.
