Good quality & quiet
I have one of these installed in a bathroom and one in a toilet. They are almost silent, have a reasonable air flow and have been installed for about a year now. I am not sure why Envirovent do not make a more powerful version for a shower room / toilet but I would certainly buy such a product. The installation is about as simple as any electrical installation could be. All you need is a live and neutral feed. As it is double insulated there is nothing to connect to earth so no earth wire is required. Additionally it does not require a switch as the built in PIR detector performs that function whenever there is any movement around it. If used in a ceiling installation, you can reduce the directional sensitivity of the PIR detector by putting a small blob of paint such a SnowPak or Niceday correction fluid on the side of the PIR detector that you do not want to switch the fan on.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does the job well
Bought the pir version for a small cloakroom as I did not always want to turn on the light just to get the fan working. It is a very unobtrusive fit and the field of view of the sensor seems quite wide so it does its job well. The fan is obviously not silent but the noise generated is quite gentle. The fan has a 5 year guarantee which is a real bonus and, from previous experience with envirovent, if one of their products does get a fault during the guarantee period, then they swapped out with minimal inconvenienceVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
