This 10-disc set is full of star power, with the original “Roots” being headlined by LeVar Burton, while “Roots: The Next Generation” includes the acting talents of James Earl Jones, Olivia De Havilland, and an impressive performance by Marlon Brando as the head of the American Nazi Party. outstanding story line, very entertaining
The story line is riveting from beginning to end. Each character is portrayed perfectly from the villains to the hero's. All performances are outstanding but if I had to choose my hero would be Ben Vereen as Chicken George and my villain would be Lloyd Bridges as Evan Brent. If anyone is curious as where the black American came from this story tells it all.
