Keeping up with the times
Barry Ryan has already had, as we all know, a quite long career. I must admit that I usually approach with caution any new album by an "old" star, as most of them use to fail in updating their overall sound or even in keeping the the old one. In "Hello Again...", Barry Ryan, though moderately, succeeds in making a good album that doesn't sound dated and also transmits a feeling of sweet and sour sincerity. This album won't set the world on fire... but it's a good place to keep on returning to, when being fed up with new and old music and not knowing where to go. My congrats to Barry.
