Season 5 is crackling with more great episodes!
I’ve been watching this series chronologically from the first episode on dvd (over the course of a few months), and it just gets better and better - this is easily the best season so far! I didn’t see it when it was originally broadcast on Sunday nights, so it’s been good to catch up to see what I’ve missed. After a bit of a shaky start, the series has really settled down and has excellent characters, action and pathos, coupled with slightly ‘soapy’ storylines that keeps the viewer engaged with the personal lives of the various crew members. My favorite is the lovely Samantha Beckinsale - such a lovely actress who adds a touch of glamour to the grit, and is a real hero of the show.
