Additional informationNetherlands reissue. THE SINGLES is not as comprehensive a compilation as the title suggests. The singles from the band's first two albums, 10CC and SHEET MUSIC, recorded for Jonathan King's UK Records, aren't included (several other compilations feature these songs, including the UK hits "Rubber Bullets" and "Donna"). THE SINGLES picks up the 10cc story in 1975, with their Phonogram debut THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK and continues through the group's next several albums, HOW DARE YOU, DECEPTIVE BENDS, LIVE AND LET LIVE and BLOODY TOURISTS, including a version of Godley and Creme's first post-10cc single, "Five O'Clock In The Morning." Because 10cc's singles were often dramatically re-edited for radio play, as on the much tighter short version of "I'm Not In Love" included here, this is an excellent compilation to add to a 10cc collection.
