Doesn't get my vote
Unless the box is secured to the roof bars it is very difficult to open and close. To start with the lid needs a good push to open it but then the lid is too flimsy and requires careful closure to ensure it will lock (far too easy to pull the side outwards). There is nowhere to get a decent grip for downward pressure. I am hoping it will get better with use especially as my good lady finds it impossible to open or close the thing. Purchased the box to replace an old Farad roof box which was great apart from losing its colour. The Thule isn't as good to use, even if it does look good, but hope it will get better. Can't really recommend it and to be honest wish I'd looked at others or just bought another Farad. We have a Honda CRV so the box is fairly high up to start with hence dealing with any problems with a roof box are exaggerated. I'll give the benefit of doubt but if it doesn't improve it will go back.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
