Excellent features for this price point
For the typical price point of this model, it packs a lot of features. It's customisable in terms of the watch face and the sports 'apps' that the watch supports (you can pick from designs in the Connect IQ store). I use mine mainly for running and it was an upgrade from the Forerunner 35. You get a lot more stats on the 245, the GPS is faster and more accurate and it will suggest workouts based on your fitness level. I quite like the Body Battery feature and Training Status features as well. Integration with the phone is also head and shoulders above the 35. Excellent upgrade to the forerunner 235

Was looking for a Garmin to replace my old head units that were struggling to hold battery. Have been using this watch now for a few weeks and have been very impressed with the battery life, as well as the GPS accuracy. It also fulfills its secondary function as a smart watch effectively. It's nice to have the general health metrics available to you, HR, sleep tracking, energy levels etc

Forerunner 245
The update to the 235 is great, minor changes inside allow it to work a bit better. Good tracking and a new go to for a newby runner. Easy to use, no strap needed and custom watch faces. Links with Garmin connect and Apple health. Tells you about calls, weather and notifications. Sleep tracker isn’t so accurate currently, I know I’ve woken up and checked the time and it has not noted it the next day for example - so take it with a pinch of salt. Overall a good investment for a smart watch and looks good.
