Not perfect, but does the job
Most features of this are good. The spike works well giving a firm location. Plenty of cable at 5mts. Many others on sale have only 3mts. The only downside, as others have pointed out, is that the socket cover will not fully close once a plug is inserted, making it potentially unsafe. I made mine as waterproof as possible by cutting a slot out of the sprung flap to accomodate the cable. It now closes almost fully. Using a compact plug helps too. The size of plugs varies a lot. Beware, if you want to use it with a transformer for, say garden lights, it's no use as those won't fit under the socket covers. If you want waterproof Stay away from this product
The covers on this socket set do not fully cover a UK standard 13amp plug, they need to be forced shut, not ideal. However, therein lies another problem, the socket covers are rigid plastic and have no flexibility or allowance for the cable to run out hence, no chance whatsoever of closing them which means it's really not waterproof at all.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Be sure it's right for you.
This is a good product but its use is limited by the fact that the plastic covers over the sockets are not cut out to allow the cable of a 13 amp plug to clear the cover if it's left in the socket. Functional but very plastic
