Gritty & Porous
Wasn't sure what soil my venus flytrap plant needed for a replant. I've looked after it so well for 2 years but it was desperately fighting within the space it had to grow. I read that they only like rain water and never directly on the plant, but in the dish beneath. So I was concerned about getting the replanting just right. It's perfect. It's gritty, sandy, porous and my plant is quite content. I have also noticed that the inside of each of the closures (?) is now a healthy looking red. 2L sounds like a lot, but it's heavy though very suitable for a good repot. Will certainly buy again when needed.

The most suitable compost for Fly Trap Plants!!
Anyone who likes to grow carnivorous plants, ie Venus Fly Traps MUST use a compost like this. Do not be tempted to use multi purpose compost etc, and ALWAYS use pure rain water.
