Used it before and I’ll use it again!
Bought to paint well-used patio furniture. It’s ideal for the job or for the painting of any outdoor metal items. No prep or undercoat required. I just wire brushed the worst flakes of rust off and brushed this on. It’s given the furniture a new lease of life so it’s pretty much paid for itself. Downsides? You have to stir it regularly or it starts to form a skin and go off in the tin. Also, be prepared to throw your paintbrush away after doing the job. Theoretically brushes can be cleaned but mine was in a right state after I’d done the job so it wasn’t worth the effort to clean it.

Very pleased, a good product.
I have used Hammerite products for years and have never been disappointed. The Smoothrite covers bare metal well and paints on well with brush lines disappearing, I applied a second coat and this went on even better, drying to a nice gloss with a smooth finish.

Top quality paint giving great protection
For my railings up to my door I’d only use Hammerite. We are right on the north west coast and get battered by incoming storms, strong wind and salty air so a good branded paint in essential if you want to keep things looking nice and rust free,

Good value and first class product.
This product is excellent for rust problems .I prefer to use the primer no 1 first after wire brushing the metal and then the finishing coat.From past experience it certainly works.
