Makita dcl180z 18v LXT Cordless Vac
Would have given five stars for the fact its not made in China, actually made in Rumania. Does its job well, better than most hand held vacs. I have had to fit a small gasket under the rather slack filter to help avoid getting dust in the motor, manufacturer needs to look at filter location and should fit an O ring at this point. As with all these LXT items its handy if you have access to these battery's as I do from other items. Would I buy again, ? YES.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Makita gets it right again
I was recommended this by a friend, had a look at it and thought I would give one a go. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, it's powerful for such a compact hoover. We live on a boat and it's more than good enough to cope with sand from the chinchilla, sawdust from cutting wood and bedding from previous mentioned Chinchilla. We also have a chicken as a house pet on board, chickens make a mess. She takes dust baths in the chinchilla sand, sending it into the air at vast speeds and distances, she digs sawdust out of the chinchilla cage because it's fun and sends her seeds every when looking for her favourite ones, and this little machine copes with it all. We are very limited for space on our widebeam boat this is much smaller than all the popular brands like Dyson, and although it doesn't have the extreme suction of a Dyson it's much cheaper and does the job. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable well made vacuum cleaner, that's easy to use, light weight and compact. Much easier than dragging our wet and dry around when using it at work too. The filters really easy to clean and comes out easily. Battery life is really good too. If you have any Makita products I would say this is a great addition. I am I bit of a Makita fan so may be a little bias. We have many Makita products all of them are excellent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent tool
Very pleased with this product , its neat so it stores away easily, gets into corners easy because of the length so well thought out and has enough suction power for the job . I gave it 5 stars because I already have Makita products with the same interchangeable battery , not sure I would be so generous if I`d had to buy that as well which more than doubles the price . A flexible friend - Really easy to use and has more power than all but the most expensive portables
Having bought several battery vacs over the years they always seem to disappoint. The issue is that they have small motors and very low power batteries. The Makita unit uses the standard high power 18V battery packs so has loads of power and lasts a decent amount of time. It is not like a plug in or a Dyson by it is really hand any with the extension pole you actually can clean up a reasonable sized area without crippling your back. Life changing!
Have had compact cordless vacuum before but found it really didn't pick up very much. This one is powerful, light and manoeuvrable and the battery charge has so far lasted me two house cleans and one car and still going strong. The only downside is it has no brush attachment, but I have found my Henry brush fits it. So no more lugging Henry up and down stairs! Life changing! Great wee machine for the price

First thing I grab
Great product simple but efficient. Can’t believe how useful this vacuum is it’s the first thing I grab for a quick clean up. Wish we’d had one years ago.
