The Best Makita Radio
The best makita radio to date. Not one bit disappointed with this awesone bit of kit, owned for just over 6 months. It has DAB+ which is a little better than standard DAB, it is currently the only makita radio to feature DAB and Bluetooth in one unit, also has standard FM. It can charge your phone from the front 1A USB port and has 2 AUX inputs, 1 of them being inside the battery compartment which you could tuck an mp3 player inside as well as your battery. The power lead seems more robust than ones ive seen on earlier models and the antenna has a hinge to fold away which you would have to unscrew on earlier models to store. Has the better slightly bigger uprated speakers which sound pretty good for a work site radio with plenty of bass, the only problem being you cant adjust the bass or treble so could be a bit boomy for some people. All in all a good sounding well made portable worksite radio with some great features.

Robust and good for work environments
This is a well made site radio with dab radio, fm and blue tooth. All functions are well thought out and perform well. The unit with its battery is heavy and a little cumbersome. Volume is good. I find the speakers a little too strong on the base which for non pop music and speech is disappointing. Good but pricey
To me 4 stars for this is about right. It does what I expected it to do. It’s a decent radio but it’s not cheap! I bought a similar product from Aldi for a fifth of the price. It could do with a touch more sound output and some control over the sound other than volume. What I needed was a DAB site radio that was Bluetooth for playing audiobooks and my iTunes music from my phone whilst charging it.
