Not suitable for large dogs
The design of this coat is not suited to large breed dogs. I bought this for my lab but the rear legs straps are sewn in and virtually impossible to fit rendering them redundant. The strap that fastens around the belly is just too narrow to keep the coat from flapping up over the back and head particularly as the coat is so lightweight. I understand that the straps used to be detachable with stud fastenings but they changed the design as they weren't reliable, they could have compensated for this by making the belly strap wider to keep the coat in place or simply using velco on the leg straps. This coat may fit some smaller dogs better although my neighbour tried one on her small spaniel and found it didn't fit well around the neck having no adjustment.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Looks great but not well made
I loved this on arrival looked great on my Chocolate Lab but unfortunately after less than one week the elastic that goes behind back legs on one side began to unravel the other side also began to look "fragile" and within a very short time it came off. Where the lead hooks on the collar the opening is edged with the "fluorescent"strip and that came away and was hanging off.So disappointed the edging needs to be stitched and reinforced much better to make it more hard-wearing as that is where the lead protrudes.

Previous style was a better fit but still a nice coat
Had the same one before, fitted well and lasted a good while. Reordered same coat but this one is slightly different. The straps at the back which were elasticated on last coat are Velcro on this one. I feel they are tight even when stuck at the very end and when doing this the Velcro keeps opening so I am going to stitch them instead to give a bigger fit. Daisy’s new coat
Bought this for Daisy as we off to the Lakes and the weather was really cold. The coat is perfect, easy to put on and covering the front of her underneath, however, Daisy does not like her new coat, and refused to walk with it.
