Apart from having to clean disc, item worked well during install
Disc had a coating of something on the read side and it wouldn't install. Took it to a friend who ran it through his DVD/CD cleaner and had to run it twice to remove the deposit. After doing that it installed without a hitch. Pleased with the outcome, but would suggest that further discs should be examined before sending out.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

As an operating system it ain't bad.
Did an update from Windows 7 and couldn't get it work properly. Did a clean install and it loaded fine. However although I had a genuine Disc with genuine product code I was unable to register it. I have now activated windows 10 by going through troubleshoot. All I needed was to do was create an account with Microsoft and windows was then activated. Very strange as I have never had a problem with any windows installation going right back to Windows 3. I found it takes a bit of getting used to but once when used to it its fine. So far I have only come across 1 program that will not work, but it is very old (a bit like me). Finally, contrary to "popular" reports it is not bad at all just as good as 7.
