Excellent quality and clamping pressure!
This is a seriously good ratchet hold down clamp! Very well made with heavy, robust all metal construction (apart from the shoe). The fit in a 20mm dog hole is perfect. Clamping pressure is excellent. In fact, the clamping pressure is so good, it really is advisable use the locking nut from below whenever possible. With the nut and plate washers in place it can hold fast a workpiece on it's own no problem. If used without plate washers and nut, be aware of how much pressure you apply with the ratchet. I'm pretty sure you'd ruin a parf/dog hole if you aplly too much pressure without them. I have a similar clamp from Bessey - the Festool guide rail clamp type - and dare I say, this Axminster clamp could take the Pepsi challenge with it and come out on top!
