GREAT FLAT SCREEN LOUSY INSTALL DIRECTIONS
The unit comes with two cables: a mini DP to DP cable for actual screen connection to your PC sound card, and an upstream cable to enable the screen's USB ports. My problem (and I suspect other installer's) issue is this: Many sound cards do not come with DP ports! Mine has three ports: VGA, DMI and HDMI. No DP Port! The Dell cable supplied was useless to me- I had to purchase a separate HDMI to HDMI cable to get it working. Other users may require an HDMI to DMI cable or at worst an HDMI to VGA cable. The Bottom Line Is that unless your sound card has a DP port the unit will not work because all that you get with this flat screen as purchased is this cable connection! Also, the simple one sheet instruction page that comes with the unit does not correctly represent the back panel layout of the unit, making it frustrating to work with - you really need to down load the PDF manual for the Model U2415 which is a full 64 pages! Excellent 1920x1200 monitor with a couple drawbacks
Pros: - Very thin bezel and professional design - 16:10 aspect ratio is better for everyday browsing and productivity than a 16:9 monitor - Accurate color reproduction, factory calibrated - Good contrast and brightness - VESA mount compatible and light enough to work well on most mounts - Exceptional stand included with excellent height, swivel, tilt, and rotation adjustability - Great digital inputs and outputs (can daisy chain another monitor with DisplayPort, also includes two HDMI inputs and a USB 3.0 hub) Cons: - Cannot display a 1080p non-PC source in 16:9, forcing a stretched 16:10 image - Limited to 60 Hz but otherwise good for non-competitive gaming - Some noticeable ghosting when scrolling through dark text on a light background - No analog inputs, so not good for connecting directly to legacy hardware - Capacitive buttons are decent but not as responsive as tactile buttons Overall it's an excellent value and a well designed product with a few limitations.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

An excellent entry level monitor for photographers.

I bought a pair of these and they are awesome
These are big and beautiful and I love them. They come with a Display Port to Mini Display Port cable to give the best possible resolution. The monitor has a Display Port in and an out so that you can go from the video card to the first monitor and from that monitor to the second. That allows you to run two monitors from one display port. The monitor carries audio over the Display Port cable and has an audio out among the other connectors on the back so you don't have to connect speakers all the way back to the computer. This is like having a separate DAC because you don't have to use the system boards built in audio circuit at all. Then there is the four port USB 3.0 hub built into the monitor. The only bad thing about the USB is that the ports are not easily accessable. One is on the back and three are under the bottom but none are easy to reach from the front. They have sleek design and the mat surface on the display prevents glare. They are easy on the eyes. I am using them right now and I love them. These are not for gaming, so I wouldn't say they are built for fast response but they are plenty fast enough for me. I use them for photo and video work as well as programming and they do all I need. Monitor works well. Directions in getting it set up could be improved. Once its set to your choice of input by using the touch pad on the lower right of the monitor it's easy to set options.
