Fast cooking
I’m absolutely happy about my first teppanyaki grill. It gets hot really fast, you can cook almost everything on it. Last weekend me and my girlfriend cooked some full English breakfast amd it was delicious and fast. Really easy to clean after that. So far no problems. Not too bad. Works well, just the quality let's itself down.
I feel a bit deceived that it is not a genuine VonShef product (please seller correct me if wrong). This is evidenced by the writing coming off the product when wiped after a few times. Also the drip tray is made of flimsy plastic and if not inserted in to the slot precisely in the first instance, the edge soon start to fray. The electric single pin started to go brown after 2 uses, but this might be something that is expected as the voltage goes through. The lead could have been a bit longer. Unless near a plug socket, I would suggest a breaker extension lead. I would say a guard around the edges would be of benefit so that the food does not fall off the edge. These reasons above is why I have labelled as 3 stars. HOWEVER, looking on the positive side, it cleans seamlessly, cooks quickly and is lightweight to easily transport into home or garden.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fantastic & Easy to Use
Good things first: The Grill heats up fast, and stays hot for longer than others I've used, so use of the electric is reduced. It cooks evenly no matter where the food is placed on the grill surface, even cooks really thick pieces of battered cod evenly. Now the Bad: Instructions were super limited, no temperature ranges for the numbers, or time guides on how to cook things. This is really needed as grill setting 3.5 on this VonShef is like Grill setting 5 on many other similar products. The vonshef griddle
I wish I'd gone for the medium size one. I'm only one, but I sometimes make pancakes and this isn't quite deep enough to get four on like my old square one. But it's brilliant for welsh cakes, which I can get 15 on, I could only get 10 on my old one. I can fry an egg, tomatoes and 2 rashers of bacon at the same time. Cleaning it is a doddle. Perfect hot plate - good alternative to a bbq
Item was bowed which led to poor draining of fats / made it difficult to cook some foods. Lovely product - we purchased it after going to a friends for a bbq where they used one. Lovely to cook a range of products - sausage, burgers, chicken, bacon, eggs, onions. Thinking about trying oatcakes and maybe pancakes in the near future! Easy to clean there was a sligh over spill of fats but I think that’s because we cooked everything as we wanted to try it out! Easy to clean with paper towels. Would be perfect to use in a caravan too!
