A Value Option from the respected Japanese brand.
This retailer offered to get it here faster than the others. Then he topped that by getting it to me in the US in less than a week. Maybe it was b/c i paid using PayPal. The Kiwaya is a very utilitarian looking uke, but it sounds very nice. Decent volume for a laminate uke. Warm sound you expect from mahogany. Decided on this after seeing the Got a Ukulele review.

Affordable version of company's more refined higher end instruments, made possible by concentrating on sound quality, not frills. Loud, resonant , great sound, looks fine if basic, has own modest style. A little unfinished , a fine trade-off for such exceptional sound. Highly recommended, sounds as good as instruments costing several times more, and better than many.
