My New Maid
The ONLY thing I would change about this thing is a air cleaner to to keep the dust down as it rolls OTHER THAN THAT IT'S THE GREATEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!!!!!!!! I got to see Charlie use it and it is BADASS!!!! It even has a night light... What cat can resist a nightlight?????? This crazy thing is the dream come true.
I've been on the prowl my whole adult life for the perfect litter & box solution, and still was tinkering with litter selection and box placement, scented vs unscented, pine vs wheat vs crystals. My search is over. When I first got the box I was a bit freaked because it was bigger than I thought it would be. But it's attractive as far as robots go, and once I turned it on I could see that I now have a solution that ends my search. My cats adopted it instantly, I've switched to unscented clumping litter, and I use Hefty 13 gal flap-tie kitchen bags - and the box smells like there are no cats in the house (I have two). I have three kitties and a son who promised to clean their litter boxes every day. While he didn't back down on his promise, it was still a hassle to get the boxes cleaned to the cat's liking and keep the smell of the boxes to a minimum. I looked at this product for a long time before biting the bullet, thinking it was too expensive and silly to spend this amount of money on a product. Holy moly, was I wrong! I have saved time, energy, money and my sanity with this purchase. The litter box only needs changing every 3-4 days, there is absolutely no smell and I have saved money on litter. I didn't even give the cats a chance to adjust to the new litter box, I simply took the old ones away and put this in its place. They were intrigued and took to it immediately. I tell everyone I know who owns a cat or multiple cats about this purchase. I am somewhat frugal with my money, but I would not hesitate to make this purchase again. Best Thing Ever!!!
Litter-Robot arrived very quickly, packaged well, and set-up took maybe 5mins, including taking it upstairs into our bathroom. We have 3 cats, and all 3 of them used it immediately! We simply added a little bit of old litter from their boxes into the litter robot when we filled it up. It works like a charm, a little noise when it goes through it's cycle, but we expected that. We used the sleep function for night time, our cats seemed to like the little night light that is included. The machine senses when you turn off the lights, and the soft blue nightlight comes on right away. The litter is super clean after each use. Our cats are all just over 1 year old and quite curious. They really like watching the machine turn over, hah. Hardly any litter escapes from the bowl, which is great, and we have a couple of vigorous scratchers :) No smell in bathroom now, which is fantastic! Best litter box in the world!!
Best litter box in the world!! Cats adjusted fine. Out of the three cats, all are large in size. Two were a little scared of the light, so we turned it off. They all use it just fine, and we only have to empty the pan once a week. Awesome for people with a busy life style. NO SCOOP
I AM REALLY HAPPY TO REPORT I HAVE TWO OF THESE. THEY REALLY WORK MOST OF THE TIME AS THEY SAY. YOU DO USE LESS LITTER AND IT IT SO NICE NOT TO SCOOP FOR 6 CATS. ONCE IN A WHILE ONE OF THEM WILL GET STUCK BUT THERE IS A RESTART BUTTON TO USE AND IT WORKS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I thought I was nuts for buying this!
I have three cats and I'm constantly struggling with my teenagers to keep up with the litter box. I bought this in hopes of solving a common household problem. At first the cats were very wary of it, especially when it cycles, but I followed the suggestions in the manual and at three weeks in they are all using it and the air quality in my house has improved 10 fold. Hang onto the manual! I overfilled it once and had to work through the reset process, but following the directions I was able to solve the problem.
