Hot and Fast
This is one hot little oven. I am still getting used to the cooking times. Be prepared to either stand watch over it, or be prepared for some burnt offerings. I've used 6 slicers for decades; they're cheap and degrade overtime. This oven is new so I don't know how long it will last, but it has cut my baking times in half. In Half. And the roasted potatoes are still crispy and brown, tender inside. And they taste incredible with only the new oven being the difference. The tray is huge! It can work as a drip pan as well, and the two racks are interchangeable, but the drip pan should go on top.
The controls are a breeze and a joy to use! My old oven had manual dials with lines as thick as two toothpicks, no way could you set an accurate temp. This is digital. Makes a nice electronic beep like "Hey, come and see what's ready!"
It takes up more space than other ovens, just a few inches though, take a measurement all the same. The door handle is insulated, the glass door pane gets really, really hot, be careful. The top and the top of the sides get hot, but the rest remains touchable - but don't try that. Always wear oven mitts around this little guy.
The huge pan has not buckled once so far, like the other oven pans did. It is louvered so the items are raised off the surface every other half inch. It has a pull out crumb tray, the top cooking element is huge! It says it needs a 7 minute preheat - more like just throw it in. So it will take a little adjusting to use this super fast oven - and it also has a convection setting; so far, I haven't dared - It will also Broil, toast, bake, roast, reheat and defrost.
So far I am knocked out by this oven's capabilities.
And all this for a wonderfully affordable price.
Worth every penny and every star.
