Based on the landmark animated film that rejuvenated Disney's box office clout, The Little Mermaid lets you portray Ariel, who, as those who have seen the film know, has left the sea to marry prince Eric. In this game Ariel returns to the water because the evil witch/octopus Ursula is taking over the ocean and has made all the formerly friendly fish, crabs, and other sea life mean, threatening the safety of Flounder, Sebastian, Scuttle and the others. Your job is to defeat the fearsome undersea creatures, eventually facing Ursula herself.<br><br>To battle the various sharks, blowfish, eels, sea anemones, ghosts, and other denizens of the deep, Ariel can push bubbles and shells at them with her tail. Also, she can find sunken treasures that increase her speed and power. <br><br>Most (but not all) of the action in The Little Mermaid takes place under water. The game is divided into five sections: the Sea of Coral, the Sunken Ship, the Sea of Ice, the Undersea Volcano, and Ursula's Castle.Product Identifiers

Great Gameplay for Children and Good Collectors Item.
For a children's game, this is great. My four-year-old daughter absolutely loves it and while I have to play it for her she really enjoys watching the gameplay and the cut scenes. Side note to any parents out there: Hold (Right+A+B) on the second controller and push the start button on the first controller to enter invincible mode. We did beat it without the cheat the first time through btw. :) For older players, this might not be the game to get as it's clearly targeted at younger children. If you're collecting then that's just a different story altogether. It's a relatively inexpensive game for a complete collection so go ahead and buy.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Cute game but kind of boring
I never had this game growing up, but I bought it because it looked cute... and it is cute, but I don't anticipate playing it very much. You just swim around and shoot things, and there doesn't seem to be much of a story line. Finally, a game I can play with my 5 year old
