Features of this Denon watt receiver include connections for a number of sources, including DVD, Blu-ray, and HDTV. With enough connections available, the Denon watt receiver can be connected to a number of components. Further features of the 7.1 channel 150-watt receiver include options for second zone speakers, a LCD programmable menu, and AM/FM tuner. This Denon watt receiver includes the following types of connections: composite video, digital coaxial, multi-channel analogueue, digital optical, S-video, RCA, and coaxial optical. Other features of the Denon AVR-3802 include bass control, a headphone jack, as well as a second speaker boosting. Denon the True Emperor
I use it as stereo amp and drives 2 pairs of speakers. I 've never thought I had quality enough speakers, untill I discovered this beast. Oh boy, I was wrong...speakers feel alive and kicking and they sound like...different ones! I replaced an old Pioneer amplifier and never 'd have thought I 'd reach such kind of music levels. Built to last
Used in the garden as a surround sound amplifier with an assortment of good-to-high quality stereo speakers found on ebay. Perfect for this, as you can adjust the channel volumes individually. Sound quality is excellent, and as good as you could hope for for its current use - can't say what it would sound like in a cinema or similar, but I suspect it would be excellent, and very good value. They are actually relatively old now (for digital electronics), but you wouldn't notice using it, apart from its slightly 'retro' looks. It is quite sturdy, well built and exceptionally heavy. Mine came (second hand) with no padding in its packaging, and I suspect might have picked up a dent on the top on the way - but it turned on first time with no issue at all. Only negatives are that it is a bit fiddly to use some of the controls, as I gather many Denon products are, but it is nothing a bit of common sense can't figure out. "Fully tested and working" ???!!!! Power cable cutted off in 80%. When fixed it - on/off button no reaction, after 20 times push its turn on after
