Model K8V SE Deluxe. Socket 754. Form Factor ATX. This Motherboard is used. It has been fully tested and is in good working order. We include exactly what is shown in the photographs, nothing more and nothing less.
I had this motherboard years ago when socket 754 pin processors from AMD were released, i can tell you now, although this is a VIA KT800 Non Pro chipset it is done properly and it is the number one motherboard for 754 pin AMD Athlon 64 processors. it will run faster, cooler and be more reliable than any nForce/SiS/ULi based motherboard that achieve higher clocks simply because it has the best power delivery of any 754 pin motherboard.
After all these years i have just bought another to relive the days of the golden age of gaming, these boards are top notch in quality and performance, and about the only AGP board out there that will run a 6800GT properly and without problems. This is a board designed from the ground up for overclocking and you will have a huge grin on your face if you connect an 8Ohm full range speaker to the pinout header, a lady will announce the BIOS procedure, yes it talks. and ASUS even provide software to add your own WAV sounds at boot (just like a mac) it's called the "winbond sound editor" a really fun tool to play around with, also the boot logo can be changed.
Im lucky enough to have the fastest 754 pin processor ever made, the Athlon 64 3700+ a 2.4GHz processor that totally destroyed any pentium 4 processor that cost nearly twice as much, a fantastic processor indeed that absolutely fly's on windows 95/98se and windows XP.
This Motherboard supports windows 95 v2.5 right up to windows Vista 64, if you have 2 or 3gb of ram installed it will also run windows 10 pretty nicely, windows10 does indeed have built in support for the AGP bus and all the onboard drivers of this motherboard.
If you have come from a Winfast/Gigabyte or Biostar motherboard and switched to this one you will instantly notice the difference in speed, those budget boards don't do any justice to the Athlon 64 3700+ and as i said, this board is the best out of the lot for system stability which is very important if like myself you run windows98 second edition with various music making softwares like MUSIC2000/PCDJ Red/Cubase. The onboard fan controls work perfect too unlike those found on budget ASRock boards, theres three of them, one for PSU one for CPU and one for the CHASSIS fan. I have a PCI 2x80mm fan card blowing directly over my 6800GT the fan is controlled by the CHASSIS header (3 Pin) Note: all the fan headers are 3 pin and are rpm sensed. The boards AGP is not locked but that wont be an issue for me, seeing as im using the fastest CPU ever made for the socket 754 platform, however you can still overclock, this is acheived by dropping your memory speed from 400 to 333 and your HT from 800 to 600, this will give you more headroom to get at least another 213 to 235MHz out of your processor without touching any voltages whatsoever, this doesn't sound like much but can make a massive difference.
