Not exactly a laugh riot
The American version of the show has much better performers and tighter editing . This box set is from 1988 or so and and it shows just how raw and unrefined the production was then. I saw some episodes of this show when I traveled in England in the mid-to-late 1990s. My memory said it was much better than what this box set brought to mind. Bottom line: I think this set is most appealing for super hardcore fans of the show who want to explore the origin episodes. But, personally, for me it was almost uncomfortable to watch.

UK...perfectly unperfect Whose Line...? Love it!
The first two seasons are included here along with numerous extras including the slightly longer, 6 member lineup, Christmas special. This wonderful set takes me back to when me and the family watched these as they aired on American TV for the first time and never missed watching the reruns as well. I will watch these over and over again. Luckily I have a fan made copy of the rest of the UK seasons but would certain buy the official release of the entire series if it is ever made available. I fear that will never happen. Catching up with the series regulars is bitter sweet. Tony Slattery had some problems but he's still out there. Josie Lawrence is in her 60s, unmarried!! (how does that happen?) and still cute as a button. I still need to do more catching up. Although I sure like the US version, this UK is superior in every way including not being so perfect like that one.
