A Landmark Hi-Fi Headphone!
One of the greatest and best sounding Classic 1980's Hi-Fi headphones, period. Truly a high fidelity transducer, it is essentially Tonally neutral and highly detailed and yet never really verges on the clinical side, like so many other High End headphones tend to do. It is also fairly lightweight and quite Comfortable too. Almost 35 years later, this is still highly competitive and actually preferable to most modern headphone designs, even those coming from Beyerdynamic itself, which tend to artificially boost the Bass response. I enjoy them so much that I actually own two pairs of these. And I will not sell them, no Sir! Highly recommended indeed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Good as price. Beyerdymamic is a well known brand. But you must make the right choose according to what you have or what you expected for.
Allways same question....why did you give 5 stars?...well, because i know well what i want to buy, i have experience , i know many manufacturers in audio. I don't know how it will be the sound untill i hear it. Depends on each one ear. Hope you'll understand me. If something goes wrong it's not sellers fault. Simple! For example i have testing a pair of AKG . Great sound. Beyerdynamic 990 are better. Not in my case. I know that these beauties can do some more. I love these headphones.
I've had a pair of DT990Pros for about 15 years now and absolutely love them. To me their only shortcoming was that the mid-range and extreme top-end seemed slightly suppressed. Neverthess, when they finally developed a fault and a replacement was needed in a hurry it made sense to buy a new pair rather than get my old ones repaired. I'm glad I did. The new ones are even better than the old with the previous shortcomings now gone and even greater sonic detail revealed. The old cans had a curly lead, whereas the new have a straight one. Not sure that makes much difference though. The DT990s are comfortable, even if worn for long periods - a delight to listen to and if they should develop a fault some years down the line there's a very good chance that spares will still be available.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Bought as spares
