  • Fantastic stuff if used for the right kind of job.

I love this stuff. It's not just glue: it's a strong, waterproof structural filler; like expanding foam, but tougher. I've used it to repair shed doors and weatherboarding. My latest use is to repair the tops of fence posts that are starting to rot where water gets in and the birds are pecking out beetles. Often this is because the preservative treatment only penetrates an inch into the wood, and this bit was trimmed off the post by the installers. On a dry day, I squeeze out some Gorilla glue and let it seep into the holes and cracks. By the next day, it has expanded and crept into every gap, seeking out the moisture that causes the rot, but also helps it cure. The expanded glue looks like an alien fungus has enveloped the top off the post. I trim off the excess with a hacksaw and then I rasp the last few millimetres until they are flush with the square section of the post. The yellow colour doesn't look bad (it could be painted) and experience has shown that it weathers to a grey-brown anyway. It's quick and easy and extends the life of the timber by years.

  • Works

Read what it says when it says wear gloves wear gloves as when i read it i thought i did not need gloves its a glue it will wash out i was 100% so so wrong, you get this on your clothing it will not wash off you get this on your skin it will not wash off it will turn any part of your skin which has had contact with BLACK for 4 to 5 days you have to just ignore it and carry on washing your hands as normal as your own lose skin will remove it naturally. my hands are now clear of it after 5 days first few days skin is Black SO WEAR GLOVES unless you want Black skin for many days. The Glue does work very well remember to buy the right glue to do the right jobs to many people make the mistake of just thinking one glue will fix every thing it does not.

  • I saw the adverts on tv but wasn't sure it would work but I now definitely would recommend it to anyone!

I was putting up some trellis in my garden & it's a very old house & the bricks are solid, you can't drill into them & the mortar is falling out so I thought I'd give gorilla glue a go! My brother didn't believe it would work until he tried it,it's absolutely amazing! It stuck all the batons to the wall,we waited an hour to make sure it had a chance to set properly & attached the trellis to the batons! It's stuck solid & looks great,I again would recommend it to all you non believers,I will be using it for all my odd & difficult jobs 😍

  • Listen to the end users they know best

As a glue, it's very good but it's very hard to get out of the bottle as you have to squeeze the bottle so hard to get it out that the bottle sometimes shakes in your hand which then removes the control of the output of the glue, which reduces accuracy as to were it is needed. it's ok if you only need a drop or two but with big areas or long areas where a lot of glue is needed accurately it is very hard work you could make a better bottle that you could make refillable which would cut down on your bottle costs and be a bit better for the environment and your CO2 output and make using a very good glue even better with a better and easier applicator with more accuracy which is what most users want

  • Wow it works!!!

Bought this for the very first time and to be honest I didn't think it would be as good as some have stated. I was wrong. This stuff is brilliant. Sticks anything. It does expand a bit and it does look like cavity filler (yellow) but it does the job brilliantly. Another good point for me was I thought that after using it (a week or so later) I wouldn't be able to unscrew the top off or if I did it would be all dried up and no good. Wrong again!!! It was hard to get the top off but the gorilla glue was still fluid not like superglue once you've used it it goes hard. For me I'd give it 5 stars every time just wish I'd known about it sooner. I would definately recommend this product.

  • Good and bad

Its great that the glue does not block the nozzle of the bottle. This is because it is a free flowing liquid that only sets when it meets water! You dampen one surface and apply glue to the other and then clamp them or find another way to apply pressure. The problem lies with the fact that the glue expands to 3 or 4 times its volume when it contacts water. There is a lot of excess glue squeezed out between the 2 pieces. It is difficult to clean this off when wet without moving the parts and if left to dry requires a hammer and chisel to remove it which is likely to mar the surface of the object being glued.

  • Good stuff if youare carefull

I was sceptical about the claims made but can honestly say it does exactly what they claim. However it will not stick tarpaulins no matter how much pressure applied probably because of the shiny surface. You must literally only use a little as it does expand like foam so allow space for this and never get it on your hands it turns black and took me days to get off using everything from diesel to scouring pads I repaired several items but again you must be able to clamp them till it dries completely(4 hours) and then it is great no clamping and it just froths and fails to bond Going to try the Gorilla tape and super glue now and it will be in my bag when travelling around Kenya as a safety precaution

  • Gorilla glue great stuff

What a great product. I Recently had the coping stones pushed off my front wall and after asking the cost of repair from my local builder (what a price)I Used the glue to re-stick the stones to the top of the wall. Result!!. Not only stuck the stones to the wall but repaired some of the broken stones as well. Easy to use Just squeeze on and add a spray of water to activate. Just be careful of the amount as it expands a huge amount. First class kit. Thanks.

  • Strong and durable

I found it excellent for outdoor wood structures. Resists moisture well. Where exposed to sunlight it discolours though. Work must fit closely and be clamped or screwed during setting. Because of the gap-filling expansion, a little goes a long way.Store with a silica gel packet in a tied poly bag or sealed container and place in a fridge. If you want it to keep and not set into a hard mass after a year or so. Manufacturer should tell you this. Otherwise a most useful, capable product.
