Decent little light. Just what I was looking for to illuminate a key lock.
I bought this with somewhat low expectations, and it beats those expectations. The sensor does work. The spec sheet in the box says the range is 3 meters, and mine worked fine at a couple of meters or so which is fine if you are using it as a key/lock illumination aid. According to the spec sheet in the package, the idle battery draw is about 0.35mA when the LED is off. So the one AA battery should last about 8 months before needing to be replaced (less if the LED goes on frequently). That's a reasonable length of time. The case is nicely molded plastic, but there is no rubber seal to keep moisture out of the battery/sensor/LED compartment. However, the mold line for the battery cover is very straight and well fit to the body. So it might not be too much of an issue. Mounting is accomplished by sticking the back plate to the wall or door via either a double sided foam adhesive pad, or by two small screws (#4 or 3mm). The body of the unit then slides down onto small tabs on the back plate. Overall summary: This is a decent little light that gives ample light to illuminate a key lock from a foot or so away. The sensor works reliably, and battery life should be long enough to make the unit need a battery change only about twice a year.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works very nice..!! A Great Idea..!!
We love it. As soon as you get about 2 feet from the door, the light pops on, and its bright. It stays on so you can get your keys in the door and it is just the extra light we needed in just the right place. Now we don't have to leave a porch light on ( which didn't help much anyway ).
