A great little pot!
I've used stovetop Moka pots in the past, and they all work about the same, but I love the fact that the Alicia frees me from having to use the stove for my coffee! It's a sturdy little pot that brews a GREAT cup of coffee! The filter basket has an insert so you can brew 3 cups instead of 6 if you wish, which is great for me since I'm the only coffee drinker in my house! The pot is pretty easy to clean with just water, but make sure you let the prts dry completely before reassembly or you may get some corrosion start in the boiler!

Just brilliant
I discovered this machine about 15 years ago. I think they may have been discontinued so I am buying another while I can. Just brilliant. Mine has traveled the world with me and is the first thing I pack. The best way to make coffee and does it with an electric power source. The standard Italian version of this type of machine is heated on an electric stove top or a gas burner - sources that aren't always available. I usually manage to find a power source somewhere. Even if I'm camping in a non-powered campsite the toilet/shower block will always have a power point. I have even been known to sneak it into McDonalds in a shopping bag. Sit down the back, plug it in, buy a muffin and wait for that familiar percolating sound. The "brew quickly" comment depends on the voltage of the country.
