Individually good, together outstanding
It is quite astonishing the improvement in performance of the Musical Fidelity (MF) X3 products, in particular the DAC, which is transformed. MF supplied it with the so called "Wallmart" power supply, which barely drove the components. Give it a matched power supply with more than enough power to make its component operate at maximum efficiency, and it transforms a sort of everyday good quality product into an outstanding device, So X-PSU, plus X DAC V3 and X Cans V3, despite their age (2004/5 ) still puts all but the really expensive Hi Fi to shame.
