Easy to use out of the box
This machine was an upgrade to my 4x4 hoop size Brother embroidery machine. The Janome Memory Craft 500e has and 8x11 inch maximum size hoop, and it comes with 3 smaller hoops also. Right out of the box, it was easy to use,and I've already embroidered t-shirts and towels with it. I'm happy with my purchase. The only con is that the basic embroidery software that comes with the machine is only available on CD, and so I had to drag out an old computer with a disk drive to transfer the software to a USB stick. The free version of Embrilliance is just as good as the Janome software, so you don't really need to bother with it.

Love my machine.
This is a mack daddy of machines for the price. I am still learning as I go. I was used to a brother before so learning new tricks. Excellent machine for the large embroidery area. Considering the size and speed of the machine it embroiders much quieter than my brother i have . A huge plus because it gets on my husband's nerves. A Definite Advancement

Wonderful machine
