Nice slim packaging for a boxset, takes up less space than most
Hello. The great value of this Season 2 Boxset compared to the streaming options on AMAZON and YOUTUBE is second to none. Streaming = £19.99, this DVD box was £4.71 - a bargain. I did have some trouble with the 3rd episode on each of the first three discs, my DVD player kept sticking and it was impossible to watch - but it may not be a fault of the product as I managed to get better viewing of those particular episodes on my 'old' laptop which plays DVD's - sadly new computers don't offer this anymore. DVD players are becoming hard to buy in stores, possibly phasing them out ? I hope not, I had planned on adding other titles. I digress. Absolute Classic Drama!
I grew up watching the Walton's and still watch it when I can! The stories are great and in a moralistic way a lot can be learned from the stories in the way they faced many of the Hardships of that time. Great follow up to the classic first series. Many diverse and interesting episodes with plenty of familiar faces from the world of entertainment. On a comical note, keep your eyes open for the occasional appearance of the microphone at the top of the screen. Happens in a few episodes. Great to rediscover this series. Well written, well acted and a classic TV series. After watching the Waltons I leave with a warm glow as if I’ve spent time with a long forgotten friend.
