Movie/TV TitleDempsey And Makepeace - The Complete Second Series
Having given it that title I should say that I have only begun to watch the first couple of episodes. The weighting between the characters has changed. the series seems to set a more flirtatious relationship between the two and so far Dempsey has threatened to leave. Seems to be more slick production and less homely that i found rather charming with the first series. Perhaps two programmes is not enough to judge the series on but those are my first impressions. My sense is that 45 minutes isn't really long enough to create an engaging programme. no time to explore more fully the incidents involved and endings seem to be quite abrupt, but that is a criticism as much of the first series as the second.
Enjoyable fun though, hence the four stars.
