Could be "tougher" ?
Maybe I was expecting these to be better than they are I don't know, do they work, yes....could they be better, yes.
I found the plastic they are made from is to "weak" and often the screwdriver slips / distorts the head "before" the fixing is flush with the plasterboard surface, and this is even after I experienced this the first time and made the drilled hole "slightly" larger to aid the fixing screwing into the board. I have purchased plastic plasterboard fixings which are easily driven flush with the board surface previously and used them with no problems, these are definitley made from a more "flexible" plastic.
I have used them to hang radiators and a bathroom cabinet with glass doors which is a good weight and so far so good.
I do honestly feel if the plastic was a little "tougher" and allowed more force to be applied without slipping then they would be superb. I bought these with the intention of eventually hanging kitchen cabinets, I'm not to sure yet if I will use them for that job. Would I recommend, yes but you have to get "used" to using them.
