THE RIGHT CHOICE!
Customer care was 2nd to none with a tutorial video link to help you step by step. The shell itself is a solid well made product. The circuit board fits snugly in the new shell and the blade took a little bit of a filing to fit in the new shoulder mount like the video predicted. Less than an hours work and the end result is a solid, tight, robust and brand new key that will probably outlast my LR3. Probably saved me £££. Excellent replacement key.
A replacement for my Ford Focus 2013. My key was sticking & wouldn't flip open the odd time this was a bit scary sometimes when out & about as it would get jammed inside the fob so I decided to replace it. I myself found it qite easy to switch everything over to the new one, I switched my key head over to the new key head rather than paying for it to be cut you will need a fine punch to do this or something similar don't lose the pin!... all's good now. Great value replacement
The original electronic board was a direct fit into this one. I then used a small nail filed flat to knock out the pin on this and my original ford key. Had to file a small amount off of the original ford blade to make it a snug fit and for the hole to line up in order to knock the pin back in. All clipped together and working fine. Does the job nicely.
I opted to keep the original blade and swapped it over by removing the retaining pin. You can't swap over the whole piece from the previous key due to design changes.
