A traditional dressing for leather
70 years ago my parents gave me a beautiful pigskin leather music case, and taught me how to look after it, with an annual treatment with saddle soap. 50 years ago the tin of saddle soap ran out. Lockdown has goaded me into hunting down a replacement supply. Sadly the pigskin had dried out and deteriorated, but after a couple of treatments it is reviving spectacularly. Fiebings is new to me, but it seems to have all the amazing qualities of good old saddle soap. Good leather craves for it.
