  • Excellent little stove.

This is the first MSR product I've purchased and it seems to be pretty robust and well made. It's small and light, heats water and food fast as it should. The simmer control is very good and precise. I use it at work and out on the trail combined with my Gsi pinnacle soloist cook set which the stove and gas fit neatly inside. I'd definitely buy one again, but hopefully this should last a good few years yet😁👍

  • Super efficient little stove - a definite must have!!

Having used similar stoves in the past without great success I decided to 'invest' in a Jetboil Stove. Whilst these are super fast at boiling water, they're not designed for simmering, hence expect burnt food at the base of the cup, which is very awkward to remove. Reviews on the PR2 were encouraging, hence the purchase and I'm frankly delighted - it boils a brew almost as quickly as the JB but is equally efficient at heating and simmering in a range of pans (stainless/titanium/aluminium - all fine). Incredibly light and compact, it's replaced my JB for day-trips, overnights and long weekends, whether on foot, bike or car - would definitely recommend. Surprised that it didn't have an integral spark/piezo, but TBH if you're camping you'll have a lighter in the pack anyway and even if that runs out of gas, the flint wheel will be sufficient. Alternatively use matches or even the fire-steel, remembering of course that the hairs on your fingers will always grow back, eventually....

  • Brilliant stove. Really robust.

Upon opening this you can immediately tell it’s a much better quality than the other knock offs. It feels more robust and is certainly better made. It is also a little larger than say the BRS 3000 but having said that, the pot stand on the pocket rocket is more sturdier. Boils litre of water in under 4 minutes. Not too shabby at all. Comes with a plastic storage case as well.

  • Use with confidence.

A tiny, well engineered piece of equipment that I wish I had discovered long ago. Everyone has different needs and preferences, but for quick and clean cooking (with gas) on the move, this is hard to beat. Its safe in a small plastic case, too.

  • Perfection in miniature

This is an extremely efficient, packable cooker. Not only does it perform well it looks good too. The bright red lose me if you dare hard plastic box it comes in prevents it from tangling with anything else in your pack. There is even enough room for the msr piezo lighter. Very practical and fast.

  • Best little Burner

Brilliant little burner from MSR. At 73grams in weight, this packs a mighty punch for something SO small. 3 wind deflectors ensure the flame won't go out. It fits simply and easily on to both sizes of MSR gas canisters, simply screwing into place. The very best small burner for a. I'll day hike or long hike and brewing up throughout the day Perfect

  • Not cheap but not flimsy

MSR products are not the cheapest in the world but I think it is worth paying a little extra for their products as they have a very good build quality and work very well. This stove could probably be used to power a hot air balloon! Folds down nice and small and with the MSR canister holder it all feels very safe. Good product!

  • Some things are worth paying extra for...

.... This stove is made in the typical msr wat... Excellent quality, ingenious design and better than the majority of rival products. You can pickup cheap stoves from around a tenner, some branded like vango and some unbranded Chinese knock offs. While most of these will work okay... Some will break or fail when you need them most... The pocket rocket 2 simply won't.... So worth the extra money. 100% recommended

  • Pocket Rocket 2

Less than half the price of the pocket rocket deluxe it’s a bargain. I have two now and they are a great bit of kit, light and packable so easy to carry.
