Nice product with limitations
The Ring Video camera is a good product if you have the ability to mount it where it can see everything around your door AND hook it up to an electrical connection. Unless you want to pay to have the recordings available for playing on their cloud, you'll want to connect it to electricity so you can activate the Live View. It still won't record anything when it notifies you of movement but if someone is lurking around your door, you'll be able to see what's going on and take a few snapshots. Live View allows you to see through the camera at any time. You can also see through the camera when it notifies you, but you have a set amount of time to do that or lose the connection. Other than that limitation, it's a good product... a little pricey though.

Style is perfect
Look, I needed a polished brass video doorbell so that it match my brass antique door hardware. It work looks great! The only downside is the lag time it takes for the video to come up onto my phone. By the time, I go live the person already walked away. This is the only polished brass doorbell made by ring.

RING WI-FI VIDEO DOORBELL
We can tell if someone comes close to our front door since I purchased our Ring Wi-Fi Enabled Video Doorbell. We did not have electricity at the front door so we use the built in rechargeable battery. I only wish the battery lasted longer between charges. Also my motion alert on my phone comes in several seconds after some one activates the motion detection. The range is fine. Ringing the bell works fine.

The Ring Video Doorbell - Great Product
It was a lot easier to install than the SkyBell. Very nice instructions. Took me 10 minutes or less to install. Don’t get me wrong I did like the SkyBell however the it seems harder to install.

Great device, works well.
Great device, excellent quality! Very happy with my purchase. Does everything advertised. Some people talked about the motion sensor not adjusting well, but it has multiple zone adjustments and works great for my installation. Only downside I see is that it takes about 15 seconds to answer a ring, so the person at the door is just waiting (but I guess they do that anyway). However, the video starts recording from the moment of the ring (or motion) so you have it documented.
