Behind every great man there lies a teacher. This is biopic story about Bruce Lee's mentor named Ip Man, whom he claimed was a martial arts expert. A genius of Wushu (or the Chinese martial arts school), Ip Man grew up in a China nearly ripped to pieces by racial hatred, nationalistic strife, and warfare. He rose like a phoenix above these ashes, however, courtesy of his participation in matches against various Wushu masters and kung fu warriors, ultimately training martial arts icons such as Lee.

Great load of action, a good story told based on true story.
I enjoyed the story. Charicters were great. They all acted well. I found the story interesting to see what happened back then. I very much enjoyed the fighting. Especially the fight on the round table and the fight against the big boxer. All three are good.

An entertaining story in three parts, of the kung fu career of Ip Man. Portrayed well by Donnie Yen the films are set against changing and difficult times in China. Well worth watching.
