Good value, but with a couple of niggles
The sideboard arrived quickly and all the parts were present and almost undamaged. These is a dent in the edge of the top, but the nature of this type of furniture means this is more “character”. Not worth complaining or sending it back. I read others say that the instructions are not very good, but I found them to be fine. They are quite basic, but once you have put together various flat pack furniture you get a sense of how it works. Making sure that you don’t use the wrong length screws is a key thing. I do have a few niggles. The front part did not assemble properly because the three spacer pieces forming the drawer openings were slightly too long and I had to cut tiny amounts off the ends. Also the drawers did not sit level and I had to glue some plastic runners on one side to get them level. However, the price point means something. Some instructions misleading. Very few pieces of wood labelled slowing down considerably the construction process. Accessories badly numbered - wrong numbers in with wrong item. Some dowel holes incorrect. Had to make adjustments to fit dowels in. All in all, not a very helpful lot of instructions. Tools required for construction not in accordance with their recommendations. One of those rare, genuine bargains! 5 stars for quality/price, 3 stars for ease of construction
Fantastic cabinet for a price which can only be described as an absolute bargain. The cabinet is made from solid pine (no chipboard rubbish), with the exception of the drawer bases and the cabinet back which is hardboard. The assembly is not as straight forward as it could be due to the instructions lacking clarity and there are lots of bits which can be quite daunting. Most of the screws are mixed up in bags and are packaged with a letter denoting what they are. It might be useful to identify each screw to each letter according to the instructions and sort each type into a holder such as a cup to ensure you don't accidentally use the wrong screw during construction and don't be tempted to use a power screwdriver! This cabinet has a face frame which needs assembling and are fastened using dowels and screws (at a slight angle) to hold each piece together. From my experience, it might be worth drilling a 1.5mm pilot hole before inserting the screws as mine split where a screw went into a knot. Where the drawers are assembled, some wood glue around the groove where the hardboard base fits into will increase strength. I think with mine, I will eventually fit the drawer bases with plywood to allow heavier items to be stored within. Overall, the cabinet is worthy of 5 stars. Solid but poor instructions
I am always sceptical when furniture is so cheap but we needed some extra storage so went for this sideboard. The item was well packaged with no damage- also it wasn’t over packaged which is great in these days of wasteful packing companies! The instructions are poor and not completely clear at first glance. The hardware set did contain little snippets of paper with the letters on denoting which screw was which- only they where mostly chucked into the same bags making the lettering useless! Overall I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the unit. It seems very sturdy and it is indeed all solid pine! The finish is good and contrasting black handles look great! There are a few minor gaps where some parts didn’t quite fit as they should, but this is down to warping during storage and with a few extra screws and some glue in the right places you would be able to fix this. Overall- great sideboard just a bit of a brain teaser to put together!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

4 hour build time
Absolutely love the sideboard, allow yourself half a day for the build, it took me 4 hours on my own. Read the instructions carefully as some bits aren't too clear upon first read. Lots of screws of varying sizes, sort these into small pots first,some are very similar, it'll make your life easier(trust me, as I didnt). Once built it is lovely, sturdy and looks really nice in situ. Its a pain using manual screwdriver, you'll only be tempted once to use power driver, once you've messed up the first screw you'll go back to manual.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very smart sideboard, solid and looks fabulous.
Great item of furniture, once it is assembled. However this can be tricky, does need two people. Look at the instruction diagram carefully, no written details. Best to separate all the screws and bits needed together with the appropriate letter to identify them before you start. Took a few hours to put together, had to keep checking the sideboard picture. Nice sideboard for the price.
I bought three units from this range: Sideboard, TV stand and Magazine cupboard thingy. Regarding the sideboard, I found the instructions very good, although I made Airfix models as a child, so I'm used to the pictorial approach. It took me 2 hours to assemble, and it looks very stylish and feels pretty robust. The only thing that was disappointing, was hardboard for the drawer bases.
