BIAD 2019, great concept and well featured software, even better with the DAW extension.
The product is quite unique in that it produces fully usable music for backing tracks and for learning purposes. I am currently trying to learn to play the guitar and have struggled with anything more than basic music theory, such as identifying keys etc. With BIAB I can load or input music notes and then change many parameters including the key of the song and I can immediately hear the difference. This supplements what I have read in books and seen on you tube tutorials. The software has a very big community of followers and contributors worldwide. It will serve the seasoned pro as well as there are many options that even as a competent novice I will never need to understand but for those that progress to much higher levels then it will grow with you. Tutorials could be a little clearer for a beginner but it works and has good sound.
I don't want to be too critical because I believe my limited musical ability may have a lot to do with my difficulty in using the program. but I have certainly struggled with it. As I waded through different functions trying to work out what works and what doesn't I was often confronted with a notice telling me this was an 'illegal operation' and the screen would lock up and I would have to reboot. Eventually I started to make some headway and I feel it will suit my needs. It certainly does help creating melodies with clear sounds. Easy breezy for songwriters
Easy to set up and get going. Takes a few tutorials to customise the drums etc, but is well worth the time. I especially like the live drums over midi (or me trying to do something with my keyboard/synth drums). Sounds great and saves a ton of time putting songs together. Am thinking about upgrading to the next level up to get some more of this. Much cheaper than a day of studio time :-) I bought the download and worked fine with my high speed connection. If you've got a slower connection, might be worth getting the disc's as the program is big.

I wish I had bought this a long time ago. It’s great practice tool and has lots of usable features. Very easy to use although I have only just scraped the surface. It can do a lot more than I use it for. I especially like the included DAW. The manual is easy to use and there a lot of good videos to help you. I use it all the time for practice and recording.
