This is a nice, powerful blower.
I searched a number of blowers and discovered that this electric one is more powerful than some of the gasoline-powered blowers. Of course, you have to have a long cord and outlet but that was no problem for me. Besides, I was not interested in having to store and mix fuel for a gas blower. I also enjoy the quieter operation and no emissions. I didn't rate it at five stars as I haven't tried the vacuum function yet, but so far I like that the product is well-made and functions well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor design
The Black & Decker 12 Amp Two Speed Handheld Electric Mulcher Blower Vac BV3600 has been redesigned from previous models and I find it difficult to assembly. I also think it would be clumsy to use. I have had two previous B&D units and the change over from vac to blower was very easy. I am very disappointed in the current design. Powerful enough.
Fairly impressed with the performance for the price paid. While blower part was as expected, the vacuum worked better than I had anticipated. It worked even for wet leaves with ease. Keep in mind the mulch ratio specified by the manufacturer (think it's 1:18) is for bone dry leaves and drops to a lot less when mulching wet leaves. Regardless, it gets the job done. Great value, especially from the warehouse!
I wish I had known about this item a long time ago! So far I've only used it once but I was able to vacuum up a bunch of leaves and mulch them. I had no problem assembling it and figuring out how to switch between blowing and mulching. Based on other reviews I decided on this model. I figured at age 69 it should last as long as I need it. Really Great Machine
I saved a lot of money by getting a corded model instead of one with a battery. I've also heard the corded have more power and you don't have to worry about the battery dying. Strong, Strong, Strong!
Had a Homelite blower. It would get so hot after 10 mins that it HAD to be turned off to cool off regularly. This Black & Decker blower/mulcher simply FEELS better built, designed more ergonomically, & WAY outperforms any blower I've ever owned. Stronger than a lot of gas operated units.
