Over priced contact cleaner and lube
Deoxit F5 is the “go to” cleaner and lube for potentiometers and faders by those that service audio equipment. However there are a couple of things not going it’s way: 1. It’s way over priced. It seems the manufacturer has taken advantage of it’s near cult following and priced it accordingly. There are far cheaper products on the market that are probably just as good. 2. The over complex nozzle is near useless as it leaks the product everywhere apart from where it’s needed. I replaced the nozzle with a standard nozzle and tube.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does it work? Yes! Is it any either way?yes replacing the pot or fader! No any other way yes cleaning with ultrasonic bath and relubricate the pot or fader. Not always easy or convenient to use the other 2 methods, either you cannot source another one or the price for cleaning with ultrasonic bath is either to expensive or not possible. Little spray goes a long way
Bought this product as I saw all the other good reviews on it working well. I used this on an old Urei1603 mixer with all the faders and eq knobs were causing terrible noises. Stripped down all the mixer and spray a little of this in each component and now its sounds brand new and truly amazing. Good to keep handy around mixing desks
To be fair to this product, I used it on carbon track faders, rather than the conductive plastic it specifies on the can, so it;s probably not the best test. Nonetheless, it has improved the performance considerably, reducing crackle to an acceptable level.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
